1. Distribute practice schedules, game schedules, and player uniforms.
2. At Closing Day, assist the team parent in collecting all uniform pants from the players.  Also, help distribute trophies and plaques.
3. Schedule practices.  Preferably two practices a week before the season starts. Saturday’s and Sunday’s seem to work also!  Practice during the season is encouraged to maintain and enforce the skills learned.  We have eight diamonds we can use.

4.      Practice and Teach the following:

·  Fielding grounders and fly balls, hitting, throwing

·  Pitching-This is very important as players progress through the league.

·  Base running

·  Baseball or Softball rules

·  Responsibilities of positions being played

·  Baseball strategies double play, getting lead runner, cut off throws, backing up)

·  Sportsmanship and respect

·  HAVE FUN!

5.      Good sportsmanship is mandatory from coaches, players, and fans.  Any problems in this area should be dealt with professionally at the time and then reported to the respective Boys or Girls Coordinator.
